The ROI in course developement

Your subject matter experts (SME) can play a vital role in the development of your eTraining courses. They apply real-world experience and transfer knowledge that craft learning objectives, create content, review it for accuracy, and provide valuable feedback.

At Global eTraining we work with your subject matter experts and training teams to create custom courses that seamlessly combine interactive text, audio instruction, video demonstrations, hands-on exercises, competency assessments and immediate feedback to replicate the classroom learning experience. This scalable technology can be delivered as instructor-guided courses or flexible resource materials, and may be suitable for beginners through to experienced users.

Courses created on The Generator can save development time and costs by up to 50% from the average company developing online course content. (See industry averages below)

Global eTraining structures course development costs based on the number of hours a course takes to teach in a classroom with an instructor. GeT has carefully calculated what is required within a course to replicate the best classroom environment, and therefore can ensure a simple, predictable and cost effective formula for calculating the cost of course creation. For example, a half-day seminar is 4 CDH and a 3-day seminar is 24 hours.

INDUSTRY AVERAGES FOR COURSE DEVELOPMENT

Did you know that the industry average for technical course development takes 43 hours of development to every 1 hour of instruction? The average is 43:1*

For level 3 highly interactive training like Global eTraining – the industry average is significantly higher at 490:1 or 490 hours of development to every 1 hour of instruction*

OUR COURSE DEVELOPMENT CALCULATIONS

If we were to use the same industry calculations for our custom development platform “The Generator” we would have to calculate course development = 490 hours x $40/hr = $19,600 for 1 CDH The Generator (SRP) = $750 for 1 CDH + Plus material development = 20 hours for 1 CDH calculated at 25 hours * $40/hr = $1,000 for a total investment of $1750 for 1 CDH

Overall the ROI achieved by working with Global eTraining versus the industry average delivers incredible cost savings and return on investment (ROI). Example: ($19,600 - $1,750) / $1,750 = 1020%

Our Global eTraining team of curriculum development and e-Training experts can work with your internal teams and subject matter experts to create custom, interactive, on-demand eTraining program.
