Appointments and restructure shape firm for the future

North west law firm, Hillyer McKeown LLP, have announced the appointment of two new equity partners and a restructure of its management team as part of the firm’s strategy to maintain their momentum of growth.

The new equity partners, Caroline Jones and Richard Burnett, are representative of the ongoing success of the firm and according to Managing Partner, Steve Harvey, they are key to the continued development and expansion of Hillyer McKeown, as one of the leading professional advisors in the region.

Caroline will continue in her role as Head of Commercial Property whilst Richard Burnett, Head of Marketing and Client Services, will take on increased responsibility for driving the non-legal, operational and commercial aspects of the firm. This includes the expansion of the firm into new territories, the development of new legal services, and a broader platform of additional professional service offerings from Hillyer McKeown.

Steve Harvey commented: “It’s always a great pleasure to recognise the achievements and contributions of individuals and I’m delighted to announce the new equity appointments. This is a progressive step for the firm as we continue to develop a business that provides an ever increasing range of specialist professional services. Caroline has been a significant driving force within the firm and consistently displays her commercial focus alongside her no-nonsense approach. The Commercial Property Department is experiencing significant growth as a result of her contribution and we look forward to the continuation of that development. Richard has also shown a real ability to understand our client’s needs and will take point for reflecting that, in the way in which we do business. It goes without saying that he will ensure that we keep our client’s needs at the core of our offering.”

Richard Burnett and Caroline Jones will join Steve Harvey and Lindsey Kidd in the management team and all will play their part in the planned and considered development of the firm. Phil McKeown and David Wright will both continue in vital roles as Partners within the firm. David will continue as Head of Property which remains a core client offering, whilst Phil will continue to manage his existing clients and take on a new ambassadorial role for the firm, working closely with Richard to ensure the firm generates a deeper understanding of our client’s objectives and aspirations.

Steve added “Our primary focus is to build long lasting and mutually beneficial relationships with our clients. These appointments continue to build on our growing reputation as the destination firm for both clients and lawyers of the highest calibre. More appointments are planned as we continue to expand our business, within a fast moving and exciting professional services market”.
