New faces at housebuilder as search for South East sites steps up

A leading regional house builder has added three new members of staff to its land team as the search for new development sites continues.

Persimmon Homes South East has appointed Sam Stevens and Laith Mubarak as land managers and Andy Hunt as strategic land manager.

Sam will concentrate on Kent and East Sussex and areas outside the M25, while Laith will look at everything within the motorway.

Alex Potter, meanwhile, has also joined the team as land graduate.

Persimmon Homes South East land director Paul Osborne said two of the new recruits were brought in to replace departing staff, while additional people were required to help work on new projects.

Paul said: “We are actively looking for more land. At the moment there is a particular drive to find sites within the M25.

“Sam, Laith and Andy all have a background of land acquisition and they’ve settled in very well. I’m really happy with them.

“They have been working on existing sites and things which were already in the pipeline so far, but they’ll soon start working on their own projects.

“We are now moving forward as a team and we’ve got a clear plan of where we want to go.

“We’ve also added planning experts to the team to do the work which was previously done by an outside consultancy, so that is very positive.”

Laith completed Persimmon Homes’ Graduate Management Programme in 2007 and went on to work within the industry in London before his recent return to Persimmon.

Persimmon Homes South East has properties available to move into before Christmas at its developments in Ashford, Hailsham, Hellingly, Hurstpierpoint, Iwade, Manston and Sevenoaks, delivered under the Persimmon, Charles Church and Hillreed Homes brands.
