EY’s forensic technology hub opens in Manchester with 12 new recruits
EY’s new Manchester-based forensic technology hub has opened for business with the professional services firm having already appointed 12 people to work in the facility.
The firm’s first dedicated forensic technology hub outside of London, the £65k lab specialises in eDiscovery, which involves collecting, managing and analysing data for legal disputes and regulatory investigations, for clients across the UK.
EY has hired nine new Associates and Executives, and three people from its London-based team have moved to work in the Manchester lab.
EY expects to create a further 38 jobs within the lab over the next two years.
Simon Allport, EY’s North West Senior Partner, said: “Since we announced the lab in May, we have been hugely encouraged by the interest shown from potential clients, intermediaries, candidates for roles and the wider business community. The hub’s opening highlights our firm’s commitment to the North West, growing our business in the region and investing in people.”
Chris Marks, EY’s FTDS practice leader in the North West, commented: “This new facility enables us to effectively service the changing and more complex eDiscovery needs of our clients, and develop new solutions that respond to technological changes.
“The outstanding team that we have already recruited and the high volume of applications for roles we have received to date reinforce why the region was chosen for the lab. The North West’s exceptional higher education institutions and thriving technology sector underpin a strong talent pool that is enabling us to build a national forensic centre for excellence.”
