Mobeus Jewellers announce their creative £2000 competition

Mobeus Jewellers, based at 120 Park Road in Hartlepool, unveiled an ambitious competition last week. The competition, titled ‘Lets Get Wed’, will see one lucky couple walk away with a stunning diamond engagement ring of their choice worth up to a whopping £2000.

So what makes this competition different from other competitions you might ask? Well, we’re asking participants to get creative! We’re asking them to either record a video or take a photograph of themselves and their partner staging their ultimate dream wedding proposal and send the footage, along with a short sentence on why they think they should win, to mobeusring@letsgetwed.us

When the competition closes on Friday 14th November we’ll then be getting our Facebook fans and Twitter followers to decide which entry is the worthy winner! We’re big believers in inbound marketing and we’ve grown an active and friendly online community that we’re wanting to give back to.

The competition has been developed with support from creative design agency Xivvi Ltd. Director of Xivvi, Pamela Hargreaves, said:

‘Mobeus wanted to come up with a competition that would attract attention in a crowded market place - something that would engage their customers in a really creative way. Everyone has smart phones these days and we’ve all seen how powerful this can be as a medium recently through various charitable campaigns.’

You can also watch our ‘Lets Get Wed’ video, produced in house to highlight the entry process and show you just how simple it is enter. All you need is a smart phone to record and post your entry.

Owner of Mobeus Jewellers, Mark Lloyd, said:

‘I’ve been creating bespoke jewellery for over 20 years, developing a specialism in shaped wedding and engagement rings so this was a way of showcasing that to a wider audience. A competition like this takes a lot of investment and to a certain extent we’re taking a bit of a risk with it but it’s about pushing the boundaries, doing things differently, and we’ve had fantastic support from Xivvi Ltd.’

‘I’m delighted that so far it seems to be working really well, with over 31,000 individual impressions already and engagement peaking at 3.7%. We’ll make sure that we keep BDaily updated with our progress!’
