Sunderland fitness entrepreneur to appear on BBC’s The Apprentice
Sunderland fitness entrepreneur Katie Bulmer-Cooke is to appear on BBC’s The Apprentice, which is premiering tonight on BBC One.
Katie is a personal trainer and has been awarded Fit Pro UK Fitness Professional of the Year 2013, IFS UK Personal Trainer of the Year 2012 and Fit Pro & Life Fitness Worldwide Personal Trainer To Watch 2012 Top Ten.
Reality TV show The Apprentice stars 20 successful entrepreneurs from all over the country, battling it out to win £250k investment in their business idea, with Lord Sugar taking a 50% stake.
Katie has no formal business training but has worked as a health and fitness expert for Argos and currently creates and markets her own work-out programmes and DVDs.
In the interview, Katie describes herself as honest, down-to-earth and energetic, but also as someone who is stubborn and ‘doesn’t back down easily’.
Katie said: “I’m going to use my stealth bomber tactics; I’m going to go unnoticed at work and let them underestimate me and let them write me off.
“And then, once they’ve let their guard down, as far as I’m concerned, that’s when I zoom in and show them how it’s done.”
