Northumberland Site Manager Receives Seal Of Approval
A Northumberland site manager has been recognised for the fourth year running for the quality of his work at the UK housebuilding industry’s most prestigious awards.
Paul Ritchie, site manager at Miller Homes’ Wheatfields development in Seaton Delaval, was awarded a Seal of Excellence in the second round of the 2014 NHBC Pride in the Job Awards.
As just one of 11 from the North East to receive a coveted Seal of Excellence, Paul was recognised as an outstanding site manager and his dedication to achieving the highest standards in housebuilding celebrated.
Michael Dunthorne, Miller Homes North East’s operations director, said: “Building homes safely and to the highest quality is our number one priority.
“Our determination to continually raise the bar of the UK’s housebuilding industry and our promise which we make to every customer at the start of the home buying experience through The Miller Difference has, once again, been reinforced by Paul’s fantastic achievement. For the fourth time Paul has been awarded a Seal of Excellence, this time for his high quality delivery at Wheatfields in Seaton Delaval.
“Each year we perform consistently well in the NHBC Pride in the Job Awards and we are extremely proud of Paul and his continued success.”
Dedicated to recognising and rewarding outstanding site managers, the NHBC Pride in the Job Awards are the UK housebuilding industry’s most prestigious honours.
Site managers are judged on a number of criteria including consistency of high standards, leadership, technical expertise, interpretation, health and safety and ‘the X factor’ – something special which sets the site manager apart.
Mike Quinton, chief executive of NHBC, added: “For nearly 35 years, Pride in the Job has been a fundamental component of NHBC’s work to raise standards through the celebration and sharing of best practice. Our winners are at the forefront of the housebuilding recovery, making sure that quality is maintained and improved year on year, as they raise the bar for success in the competition.”
Paul was one of four Miller Homes North East site managers to receive a Quality Award as part of the first stage of the 2014 NHBC Pride in the Job Awards earlier this year. Those also recognised were brothers Mark Robson, site manager at St Mary’s Green in Acklam and Simon Robson, site manager at The Meadows in Framwellgate Moor, County Durham; and George Herron, site manager at Park View in Gateshead.
