Barnett Hood Adds Feminine Feel to Financial Sector

Two female financial advisers based in Dronfield, near Sheffield, have joined forces to offer local families a fresh approach to wealth management.

Angeline Barnett and Luanne Hood have launched Barnett Hood Associates to challenge perceptions of the male dominated financial services industry.

The partners are happy to meet clients at Barnett Hood’s offices in The Forge, Lea Road, Dronfield, or to carry out home visits, providing professional advice on a range of wealth management matters. Angeline and Luanne are qualified to make strategic decisions and have access to a wide range of investments, pensions and mortgages. They can also help with inheritance tax planning, will writing and protection policies.

Angeline said: “It is rare to encounter a wealth management firm run solely by women and we believe families will appreciate our honest, personal approach to financial advice. Working independently gives us the time to really get to know clients and understand their priorities and objectives. We then use this information to create and manage a bespoke portfolio of investments that suits their current needs and will offer long term financial security.”

Together, Angeline and Luanne have more than 30 years experience in the financial sector, both working most recently at Legal and General. Barnett Hood operates across the North Derbyshire and Yorkshire and its current client base stretches from Chesterfield to Wakefield.

Luanne added: “So many people have accumulated funds that are underperforming, due to neglect or a reluctance to seek help. Regular investment reviews are just as important as putting initial plans in place and by making it as convenient as possible to see an adviser, we could save clients money in lost returns.”
