Teesside hospitality business expanding with BIC support

A regional business which supports clients across the UK hospitality sector has tapped into the North East Business Centre’s (BIC) Innovation Programme ensuring targets to increase turnover are met.

Hospitality Guaranteed was formed in 2006 by Amanda Jackson and Victoria Brunton, the company combines the latest technology with a team of 14 experienced staff to provide online conference, events and accommodation bookings, all in one place.

As their new enquiries increased dramatically the business needed to ensure the technology continued to develop to keep up with demand and to ensure they continued delivering the best results to their clients.

An innovative online system, Apprentice Stop, was created to manage all aspects of residential Apprentice Programmes.

Victoria approached the BICs Innovation Programme, which utilises £724k of ERDF investment and part financed by the European Union’s ERDF Competiveness Programme 2007-2013, to promote a step change in the region by encouraging North East businesses to explore their innovative potential.

Victoria said: “With over 16 years experience in the sector my business partner Amanda and I are only too aware of the importance of innovating to remain successful.

“Once I had found out about the programme I made contact and the whole process was fantastic.”

The company began working with innovation project officer, Lilla Preston, Victoria continues: “Lilla has been so supportive, I really want to get across that it is not just about the funding, of course that helped but this would not have been possible without the support and advice we had throughout our journey.

“Currently we are working with an automotive company who is trialling our new system and the feedback we have received from our current clients has been encouraging, praising in particular the time the new system is saving.”

“With the help from an innovation specialist, Hospitality Guaranteed were able to scope a detailed technical specification for an innovative software solution.

The online system is already enabling the business to grow, providing a highly responsive and efficient system that meets their clients needs.“
