Stockton’s Nortech Group launches new division

Stockton-on-Tees based Nortech Group, the professional engineering design and project management company, has launched a new division to serve the oil & gas industry as well as new and emerging sectors.

Nortech Management & Consultancy Services, headed up by industry professional Ian Basford, will provide “value-added” support and focused solutions to both new and existing clients including Strategic reviews and Advice, Management, Supply Chain, Commercial , Planning and Dispute Resolution Services.

The new division, which has a core team of 12, will serve existing Nortech Group clients in the oil & gas sector as well as new clients in the maritime, petrochemical, pharmaceuticals, renewables and power sectors.

Since its establishment in April 2011 the company, which serves the process, offshore, onshore oil & gas, steel and iron industries, has expanded rapidly from four to 80 members of staff.

The group, which also comprises Nortech Solutions, Nortech Oil and Gas and Nortech Staffing Solutions, has secured significant contracts with clients in the burgeoning oil and gas industry.

Key contracts include a significant contract with EnQuest, an independent oil and gas production company with a geographic focus on the United Kingdom Continental Shelf (UKCS). Nortech is working on a number of process simplification projects to extend the operating life of an offshore platform located in the Northern North Sea.
