PWR Duo Boost Donations After Run Or Dye Event

Two charitable professionals from PWR Property Consultancy have taken part in the world’s most colourful 5K run in support of My Sight Nottinghamshire.

Robert West and Natalie Ford from PWR Lettings joined the My Sight Nottinghamshire team and took part in the Run or Dye charity run on Saturday.

PWR Lettings’ Charity of the Year is My Sight Nottinghamshire and the Run or Dye event was one of the many fundraising events that the Property Consultancy is taking part in to help reach the company’s target of £5000 for the excellent cause. The pair were showered in safe, eco-friendly, plant-based coloured cornstarch which makes it the most colourful run in the world and helped PWR Lettings reach £1881 towards their target amount.

The My Sight Nottinghamshire centre provides emotional support as well as a range of accessible sport and leisure activities for blind and partially sighted children and adults across the county.

Robert West, Assistant Manager at PWR Mansfield, said: “I am a passionate runner and this event was truly something amazing, it was really fun and a great way to raise money for charity instead of a standard, boring normal run. My Sight Nottinghamshire is a great charity and it was fantastic being able to support the cause whilst doing something that I love.”

This 5K run was just the start of a massive seven days of fundraising by the Lettings Consultancy as on October 18th, four courageous members of staff from PWR Lettings, including Natalie, will be completing a sky dive to raise money for My Sight Nottinghamshire.

Simon Perkins, partner at PWR said: “It is fantastic to see how supportive our staff are being following the announcement that My Sight Nottinghamshire is PWR’s Charity of the Year. We have got so many different fundraising events going on and credit to Natalie for completing this run just a week before she jumps out of a plane.”

My Sight Nottinghamshire is the only charity dedicated exclusively to improving the lives of people living with sight loss in Nottinghamshire.

Simon added: “We would like to encourage as many people as possible to donate to this fantastic charity. My Sight Nottinghamshire is determined to help blind and partially sighted people of all ages have access to the same opportunities as everyone else.”
