Ecommerce gurus at Space48 pledge to help Home-Start increase online donations
A Warrington charity that offers support and guidance to families with young children will be given a helping hand from an award-winning digital agency and Cheshire Connect.
The team at Warrington-based eCommerce experts Space48 has pledged to build a new website for Home-Start Warrington, which will help the charity generate funds so that it can continue to support young families in the area.
Home-Start Warrington and Space48 were put in contact through third sector support organisation Cheshire Connect, which matches skills and expertise of businesses from the region with voluntary and community groups in need of professional support.
Founded in 1999, Home-Start Warrington offers a range of support services to families with young children in times of difficulty. Assistance includes visiting a family’s home for a couple of hours every week, tailoring support to the needs of the parents and children.
Chris Murphy, chief executive of Home-Start Warrington, said: “Thanks to the generosity of Space48 we are able to produce a website that allows us to recruit more volunteers and generate the funding needed to help us continue to provide Home-Start’s much needed service to our families and their children.”
The new website will improve the speed and ease with which potential volunteers, donors and fundraisers navigate the website, donate online and get in touch with Home-Start Warrington.
Jon Woodall, managing director of Space48, said: “Our link through Cheshire Connect to this incredible charity has had a huge impact on our business. Our staff are proud to be making a difference and take a keen interest in Home-Start Warrington and the work that they do.”
Cheshire Connect’s matching service links charities that need support with local businesses that want to give something back. These businesses provide inspirational charities with free support on a regular or ad hoc basis, including helping with their accounts and marketing to offering advice on HR and technology.
Donna Okell, chief executive of Cheshire Connect, said: “Many local businesses are keen to ‘do their bit’ but don’t know where to start. They want to make an impact, however small the contribution.
“That’s where Cheshire Connect can help – we work tirelessly with both charities and businesses from across the county to find mutually-benficial matches.”
If you or your business are able to make a donation or can spare some of your time to help local charities whilst developing your own skills, please contact Cheshire Connect on: 01244 688436 or email donnaokell@cheshireconnect.org
