Hull-based data firm goes on recruitment drive after securing £1 million new business

Hull-based Paragon Data Services has announced it is embarking on a recruitment drive after securing £1 million of new business in East Yorkshire and London.

New contract wins with East Riding College, Kensington and Chelsea Leisure Centre, along with expanding its current work with retailer JD Sports, has seen the company step up its search for new team members to meet demand.

The Hull-based firm is on the lookout for staff across all areas of the business, including engineering, estimating and project management.

Iain Bland, managing director, said: “We’ve secured quite a number of new contracts and we’re expanding to meet demand, with another £700k of contracts in the pipeline.

“Because of the extra engineering and business work we need more staff, so we’re just starting a major recruitment drive.

“We’re adding another ten staff if the right people come along, and they will all be based in Hull. We’re looking for a mix of both experienced people and apprentices.

“Some will come on as engineers, and hopefully we will get some senior engineers on board as well.”

Paragon Data Services has recently celebrated 15 years in business and has recently invested £15k in a new customer service management system.

The company is set to do £3 million of business in 2014 and has aspirations to increase turnover to £5 million in the next few years.

Paragon Data Services achieved Safecontractor accreditation and became a Living Wage Employer. The company currently employs 30 people and has offices in Hull, Newbury and London.

Paragon Data Services supplies a wide range of services including network and data cabling, wireless networks, business telephone systems and Induction loops.
