Carsten’s PA, Alex Hawes said: “Carsten is everything you could wish for in a boss: a native of Denmark, although now firmly an adopted Geordie, his nick name at Cintra is ‘The Great Dane’. An unstoppable whirlwind of energy and positivity, he instils enthusiasm and makes you believe everything is possible. He leads from the front and people respect his open and honest management style.” The judges were touched by staff testimonials which demonstrated the overwhelming belief that Carsten has the best interests of his staff and his customers at the heart of everything he does. He takes a genuine interest in staff, ensuring that they have all they need to be the best that they can be and in the history of his tenure as CEO, Carsten has never declined a training request. Also, if personal issues arise, staff know that they can count on his support, compassion and flexibility. As well as supporting his Cintra family, Carsten’s charitable activity is legendary.
