Increase of 42% in Yorkshire businesses at Christmas fair in Harrogate

This November sees the return of the Country Living Magazine Christmas Fair to North Yorkshire and welcomes the highest number of Yorkshire-based exhibitors in the Harrogate leg of the fair’s three year history.

The festive shopping event is taking over the Harrogate International Centre from 27 – 30 November with over 300 exhibitors.

With stalls including food and drink, crafts, interiors and home-ware, personalised gifts and jewellery, the four-day event is set to be a one-stop-Christmas-shop for those looking for festive gifts or something special.

This year’s fair welcomes new exhibitor, Kirklington-based and family-run HECK Food which is keen to share its locally produced, gluten-free sausages. Ruby Parkyn, events co-ordinator and brand builder at HECK said: “We’re looking forward to meeting everyone and sharing samples of our favourite recipes including our chorizo-style and lower fat chicken sausages which are all made from high welfare meat and our own homemade seasoning. It’s our first time at the Country Living Christmas Fair in Harrogate and we’re delighted to be exhibiting!”

Also making a debut at this year’s event is interior accessories and giftware specialist At Home in The Country, a family business based at Farnley Tyas in Huddersfield, with a range of country themed homeware including stag-decorated crockery and ornaments.

Flying the flag for Yorkshire craft is SeaBreeze Designs, a jewellery designer from Dodworth, Barnsley, which takes inspiration from the coast creating intricately detailed pieces and Knaresborough-based Jamali-Annay Designs, creators of handmade ceramics with personalised or seasonal messages.

Visitors will also be able to experience live demonstrations in the DFS Lifestyle Theatre and the Cookery Theatre with experts from Rudding Park and Bettys Cookery School as well as having the opportunity to take part in craft workshops to create festive pieces, with the return of the popular make-your-own gingerbread house workshop.

Advance tickets are priced at £10 for adults and £7 for children or VIP packages are available from www.countrylivingfair.com/harrogate/booktickets or call 0844 848 0160. For more information visit www.countrylivingfair.com/harrogate/.
