Advanced Health & Care to showcase latest mobile care solutions at the Care Show Birmingham

Advanced Health & Care (Advanced) will be demonstrating its mobile care solutions, Caresys Mobile and iConnect, on stand D50 at the Care Show at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham on 4th and 5th November 2014.

The Care Show is the biggest trade event in the UK for the care sector and attracts an influential audience of more than 3,000 care professionals. Advanced will be attending the event for the tenth time.

Advanced will be showcasing its latest range of innovative mobile solutions. Caresys Mobile and iConnect are available on Android platforms and enable organisations to improve efficiency by recording the services they provide at the point of care.

Caresys Mobile allows care workers within a residential care environment to view and update individual care plans at the point of care delivery. The solution also facilitates staff changeover between shifts, enabling care workers to electronically communicate up-to-the-minute information about the most recent care provided to service users and their current and imminent requirements.

iConnect is a leading electronic call monitoring solution used by homecare agencies across the UK and has undergone significant recent development. The solution now enables care workers to have access to further functionality such as more detailed care plans and mapping functions.

Jim Chase, Managing Director, Advanced Health & Care comments: “As leaders in the IT industry, we have an exciting innovation agenda which includes providing access to our extensive range of solutions on mobile devices. We are leading this agenda with our care solutions which have been developed to move care information away from the desktop to the hands of the carer.”

The use of mobile devices is growing rapidly in the care sector as more organisations become aware of the benefits that are achievable. Mobile devices such as tablets and smartphones are a cost effective option for care providers and the use of touchscreen technology allows care workers to securely and easily input data at the point of care, removing the reliance on paper notes and memory which leads to inadequate recording.

“We are conscious of the additional benefits surrounding the use of mobile technology for care organisation with lone workers. Real time updates and the ability to easily and discreetly raise alarms all add to the safety of care workers operating in the community. Staff safety is key in the current care climate,” continues Chase.

Advanced’s mobile solutions are used by more than 32,000 professionals and that number is set to grow rapidly as more organisations seek to reap the benefits of mobilising their workforce.
