Harrods supplier The London Deli Co. opens distribution centre in York
Fine foods firm The London Deli Company has opened a new distribution centre in York as demand for its fine food products grows.
The business has taken a five-year lease on a 6,000 sq ft unit just off the A64 at Murton, York. Langleys Solicitors LLP, York, acted for company owner Craig Benton on the lease deal.
Young entrepreneur Craig launched The London Deli Company four years ago and supplies fine foods including preserves, biscuits, crisps and confectionery, to airlines and luxury hotels throughout the world.
He exports to the United States, the Middle East, India and Saudi Arabia and has a listing with Harrods, London.
Craig said: “The expansion in demand for our product range meant we needed larger premises in which to both store our goods and to distribute from – the location at Murton is ideal for this and it also gives us future storage options with our plans to grow the business further.”
James Bradley, solicitor at Langleys, said: “The London Deli Company is an ambitious business and we are delighted to have worked with Craig on securing a new distribution facility that supports his growth plans for the company.”
