Company accountant joins team of waste shredding experts
The Boroughbridge-based UNTHA UK team just keeps on growing, with the recent appointment of part-time company accountant Liz Crompton.
An experienced chartered accountant with decades of technical industry knowledge, Liz joins UNTHA UK from a renewable energy firm. Having been responsible for all aspects of finance throughout her career, Liz will offer a very safe pair of hands as this North Yorkshire business continues to expand.
Taking care of day-to-day accounting within the company, Liz will manage all invoicing and payments, and will provide a helpful point of contact for customers’ financial queries. She is also set to become a crucial link between UNTHA UK’s accounts team and the busy spare parts department. Whilst taking full responsibility for the company’s management accounts, Liz will offer a support role to UNTHA Finance too.
This frees up time for finance director Neil Jefferies to concentrate on the strategic development of the business and the delivery of operational excellence throughout the organisation.
Commenting on her reasons for joining the company, she said: “I was attracted to this role because of the people dynamics. UNTHA UK is home to a friendly, honest and hard-working team of waste shredding specialists, and as soon as I came to visit, I knew I would fit in.
“I look forward to playing a part in UNTHA UK becoming an even more robust and profitable organisation.”
Neil added: “We have worked hard to introduce a more considered degree of structure to what has always been a very entrepreneurial business, and the seemingly minor adjustments mean we are working increasingly smarter.
“The more streamlined we become internally, the greater the level of efficiencies we are able to achieve. This all translates into benefits for the customer – we can respond to queries even faster than before, work with clients to devise more intuitive solutions to their waste and recycling challenges, and deliver a higher quality level of service. Our employees are happier too as their roles are more defined and they have greater support around them, to perform to the best of their abilities.”
Considering the specific qualities that Liz will bring to her new role, Neil concludes: “Clients and colleagues will appreciate Liz’s straight talking approach to finance. Her open and transparent attitude suits UNTHA UK’s culture entirely – she is very approachable, however large or small a query may be.”
