Davis Blank Furniss announces dates and details of its Will Week 2014
The Glossop office of Davis Blank Furniss will be holding its 2014 Will Week from Monday 17th to Friday 21st November at its Ellison Street office. During this year’s Will Week, the firm will be offering the local community a discount of £10.00 on its usual fees. The week long promotion covers the following types of Wills:
~ Straightforward single Will - £40.00 + VAT
~ ‘Mirror image’ Wills for a couple (where the two Wills are identical) - £80.00 + VAT
~ Senior Citizen Will - £30.00 + VAT
~ ‘Mirror image’ Wills for a couple who are senior citizens - £50.00 + VAT
The process for clients is simple: they just need to make an appointment with one member of the Private Client team (Martyn Gee, Laura Johnson or Holly Rogalski) during which details of their wishes will be taken and a draft Will will then be prepared and sent out for approval. When that initial stage is complete, clients will be asked if they wish to make any changes and once they’re happy, they will be invited back into the office or a copy will be posted to sign their new Will.
Original Wills will be stored in Davis Blank Furniss’ strong room and a copy will be issued. Clients may also choose to store their deeds along with their Will.
Laura Johnson, solicitor, commented: “Many people put off making a Will, which is a real mistake. There’s a misconception that it’s a difficult process but the reality couldn’t be more different. The aim of our Will Week is to show how easy and important it actually is – especially as having a Will protects the interests of those closest to you.“
