Housing Hartlepool to reopen landmark building
A landmark building on the main road into Hartlepool is finally set to reopen after refurbishment.
Titan House on York Road has 49 flats above what used to be a small row of empty shops. But since Housing Hartlepool, a partner in the Thirteen Group, took over the building it has taken on a new look – and a new role.
The shops have been replaced by offices providing a one-stop shop for customers of all the partners in the Thirteen Group, including Housing Hartlepool and Tees Valley Housing, to access their services. Now, after many months of work, the new office will finally be formally unveiled by Labour MP Iain Wright on Friday 14th November.
Dave Pickard, Group Director of Operations at Thirteen Group, said: “Titan House is a well-known building right at the entrance to the town. It had seen certainly better days, but we recognised the potential to develop it and are delighted now the first new Thirteen office is to be opened in Hartlepool, replacing the Greenbank office.
“There has been a lot of work on the building, and we are very pleased to have been able to breathe some new life into it. We look forward to welcoming customers to our office and hope residents in the flats will enjoy the improvements to the building that we have made.”
