Recruitment drive stepped up as software company grows

A NATIONAL tenancy technology company has announced plans to expand its workforce to meet the growing demand for its software.

OnBoard Pro launched recently to provide agents, landlords and tenants with a simpler, faster and more transparent way of renting properties.

The company initially recruited 22 people but in the four weeks since the product went live, the response has been so positive that a second recruitment drive is now underway which will see the workforce increase to around 35.

*** To raise awareness of the product, the OnBoard Pro team will be holding a seminar at its offices at Newburn Riverside, Newcastle, on Thursday, November 20. The seminar is open to agents and landlords who want to find out more about the product. ***

CEO Stephen Purvis said: “Our initial plans were to have the people in place needed to launch the product and then add to our workforce over the coming months. But such has been the response since the programme went live that we know our estimates were conservative and we now think we’ll need another 12-15 people to meet the demand from the market.

“And the important thing is these are highly skilled jobs and will bring a real boost to the North East’s employment and economic landscape. Being from the region I’m extremely proud that we’re able to launch OnBoard Pro here, a national company which will stand alongside some of the biggest names in the lettings market and revolutionise the industry.”

OnBoard Pro Ltd offers a complete and affordable solution for the rental property market by providing letting agents with the tools to comprehensively check the suitability of tenants, record detailed photographic inventories, submit gas and electricity meter readings, starting dates for local council tax and produce signed contracts.

This is all done from within the same application and all on the same day, and in most cases under an hour, saving up to 18 hours of administrative time.

OnBoard Pro is signing on average 10 new letting agent branches per week with three of the most recent being NE Lettings in Newcasle, Blue Sky Lettings in Norwich and Vesper Lettings in London.

Ian Thomas, Sales and Marketing Director at OnBoard Pro, added: “We know the rental property market is a minefield, one which is both complicated and time consuming for agents, landlords and tenants alike. OnBoard Pro will simplify things for everyone involved, making the process more transparent, faster, fairer, more robust and cheaper.”

OnBoard Pro will service the lettings market across the UK. There are over 3,300 multi-office lettings agents nationally with most being located in the major cities of London, Birmingham and Manchester. It has been launched by the people behind Newcastle software firm SGP Consulting, and is based at Newburn Riverside in the city.
