A Victorian Christmas at Hartlepool Enterprise Centre

THIS year Hartlepool Enterprise Centre is bringing back its popular Victorian theme for the annual Christmas Fayre, taking place on Thursday and Friday, November 27th and 28th.

Doors open from 10am-3pm with all guests invited to enjoy a free festive mince pie with every drink purchased, whilst browsing the stalls. Alongside handmade gifts and stocking fillers will be everything from Yankee Candles, cake stalls to ladies clothing and beauty therapies.

Andrea Miles, Manager of the Centre, said: “This is something we look forward to holding every year. It’s a great way for the town’s residents to come out and support Hartlepool’s Buy Local campaign buying their Christmas gifts from local businesses instead of looking further afield.”

Businesses taking part include: Truly Scrumptious Cakes, Trading Treasures, Altered Images, Diamond Dolls Hair & Beauty, Clockworks, Duran Photography, Connoisseur Crafts, Exclusive Wall Art, Awoken and many more.

Brougham School will also be spreading the Christmas cheer, singing carols from 1pm as they display the shortlisted designs in the Christmas Card competition sponsored by the Enterprise Centre, on Thursday 27th November 2014.

The theme of designs this year is ‘what I love most about Christmas’, ages 4 - 11 at the school are taking part and putting their best creations forward.

Andrea added: “We are delighted to have children from the local school joining us again, not only do they provide a perfect festive backdrop with their brilliant singing, they also give visitors a chance to see their creative talents.”

With tombolas and a prize draw on Friday held throughout the day, prizes include a £50 Marks and Spencer voucher, a 1.5 hour photo shoot and gift baskets all donated by Enterprise Centre businesses.

All proceeds from the tombola and prize draws will go to local charities.
