Stein Bier Keller bar to open in Newcastle following £650k investment
Newcastle’s first Bavarian bier hall, Stein Bier Keller, is set to open on Friday 28th November in the former cellars of the Royal Buildings at City Vaults.
It comes following a £650k investment by Newcastle based bar and club giants, Tokyo Industries, the team behind DIGITAL and Tokyo.
Stein Bier Keller Newcastle will offer authentic Bavarian décor, live oompah bands, German and world beers, including a selection from local breweries, all served at bench seating in ice cold steins.
Moreover, Stein Bier Keller will offer a range of drinks, including cocktail steins, created by renowned drinks consultants The Liquorists.
Entry will be free of charge and the venue will open Wednesday to Saturday, from 8pm ’til late on weekdays and from 12 noon until late on Saturdays.
Director at Tokyo Industries, Nigel Holliday, said: “We’re really excited to be bringing this unique drinking and dining experience to Newcastle, it follows the incredibly successful launch of Stein Bier Keller York, which has become hugely popular after just a few weeks.
“At the Newcastle site we’ve created fifty new jobs and what we believe is something different and fun for the city.
“Yes, world class beer is the star, but there’s much more to Stein Bier Keller, at last making use of a great, unknown space in this historic building.
“We’ve designed the interior to bring everyone together, this coupled with top class drinks from across the globe, authentic, interactive live entertainment from award winning acts and great table staff will all help create a fun and unique shared experience for Newcastle.”
