Housing provider celebrating Investors in People gold award

Local housing provider North Star Housing Group is celebrating joining the ranks of the top 7% of companies, having been awarded the Gold Award for Investors in People.

Assistant Director of People Services, Carole Richardson, said: “We’re so proud to have achieved the gold standard. The award is evidence of the positive impact of our approach to everything we do as an organisation, so it’s very valuable to us as feedback and a huge endorsement of the quality of our staff.

“I’m struck by the recognition of our excellent performance from the assessor, who commented that we have ‘world class performance’ in the management and development of our people.

“At North Star, we place great importance on having an advanced sense of corporate social responsibility – It’s part and parcel of who we are and all are staff are delighted to have received recognition for that.”

Group Chief Executive, Angela Lockwood, said: “Our people are at the heart of everything we do. The feedback we have received is fantastic and it’s a massive endorsement of the investment we make and the approach that we take.”
