Wigan-based Eiffel Steelworks appoint administrators
Just over 60 jobs are under threat at Wigan-based Eiffel Steelworks after administrators were appointed on Monday.
The company will continue to trade in the short term while they look for a buyer.
Matthew Dunham & Adam Henry Stephens from accountants Smith & Williamson were appointed joint administrators.
Nobody has been made redundant yet and Smith and Williamson are trying to transfer the business and its highly skilled workforce.
Some interest has been expressed and they have already received a number of enquiries with regards to potential opportunities to buy the business.
Accountant Matthew Dunham said, “it’s very early days and we remain hopeful that we will sell the business and save the employees jobs”
