Budget gym chain in the running for four awards
Yorkshire-based multi award-winning national budget gym chain, Xercise4Less, has been shortlisted for four National Fitness Awards further cementing its place as one to watch in the industry.
The club, recognised for being ‘The People’s Gym’, is in the running for Newcomer of the Year with its newly opened Newcastle Upon Tyne club, Budget Club of Year with Hull and Leeds and Hull’s head personal trainer Tom Cowen is up for Personal Trainer of the Year.
The National Fitness Awards are the most renowned and established awards in the gym industry celebrating and recognising excellence, innovation and hard work. The ceremony will take place at a black tie dinner on November 28 at The Athena in Leicester and will be hosted by Caroline Pearce and Ricky Hatton.
The gym chain has already been recognised for its contribution to the industry with CEO and founder Jon Wright scooping The Ernst & Young North of England Entrepreneur of The Year 2014. The club has also won Budget Gym Chain of the Year at The Fitness awards for the past two years.
Jon Wright, said: “We have a very clear focus and that’s to make exercise and fitness accessible to all and to be ‘The People’s Gym. We are constantly investing in expansion and new initiatives, so it’s fantastic to see that we’re being recognised for all our hard work. With a successful chain of gyms across the UK including Yorkshire & Humberside, the North East, Scotland the Midlands and North West, Xercise4Less is a brand going from strength to strength.
The club currently has over 100,000 members and 24 sites nationwide.
