New membership recognises energy efficiency achievements for HVAC provider

Heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) solution provider, E-CO, has been accepted as a member of the Energy Services and Technology Association (ESTA), recognising its commitment to energy efficiency.

ESTA is the industry body and standard-setter for organisations that provide high quality energy efficient systems and practices. The body has over 120 members who supply products, systems and services critical to the energy efficient design, management and operation of buildings and processes.

E-CO provides high-intensity ultraviolet germicidal solutions for heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems in commercial buildings. The technology improves the efficiency of HVAC systems, reduces energy consumption by up to 20 per cent and allows the recycling of condensate water that would otherwise be drained to waste.

ESTA members are expected to uphold the highest professional standards and have the experience and expertise to deliver the best results. Gaining membership is recognition of E-CO’s commitment, skills and services to help businesses of all sizes achieve energy efficiency.

E-CO Managing Director, Hillary Spicer, said of the membership: “We take great pride in the environmental performance of our products. Our membership with ESTA is further proof of the energy savings results our products achieve for businesses. It gives our customers complete confidence in our service, and shows our commitment to helping buildings and businesses become more sustainable.”

“Our UVC equipment not only improves the efficiency of air conditioning systems and prolongs their lifespan, but also delivers cleaner indoor air, free of bacteria, viruses and mould. I believe UVC technology should be in every air conditioning unit in every building in the UK.”

E-CO’s UVC for HVAC solution is designed to help earn BREEAM and/or LEED credits in multiple categories. BREEAM®-certified projects cost less to operate and maintain than traditional buildings, are energy- and water-efficient and have higher lease rates than conventional buildings in the same market.
