Christmas fayre held for regional charity
A leading regional charity is inviting people from across the West Midlands to a sensational Christmas fayre where they can purchase a wide variety of festive gifts, cards, and food.
Beacon, which raises funds to help support people who are visually impaired in the local area, will host the fayre this Saturday, 29 November where there will be a range of festive stalls, mince pies, mulled wine and of course Father Christmas himself.
The event kicks off at 11am until 3pm at Beacon’s centre on Wolverhampton Road East in Sedgley, and entry is £1 with under 14’s going free.
Event organiser Kelly Vickers said: “We’re planning a day full of festive cheer – a celebration of all things Christmassy for local people.
“You can enjoy a mince pie and glass of warm mulled wine while browsing the many stalls we have this year, including jewellery, candles, Christmas cards and decorations, puddings and cakes.
“Every penny raised enables Beacon to help visually impaired local people live fuller and more independent lives.”
“So, why not come along with your family this Saturday and really get in the festive mood – we look forward to seeing you there.”
The charity also operates seven charity shops across the West Midlands, which deliver much-needed funds through sales of quality donated items and a selection of new goods, including Christmas gifts and home decorations.
Money raised from the shops – in Wolverhampton, Bilston, Bloxwich, Wednesbury, Cannock, Halesowen and the centre in Sedgley – supports a range of services for people of all ages living with a visual impairment.
