Clough & Willis to stage holiday leave and pay event
Law firm Clough & Willis has confirmed the latest date in its series of free employment law events that aim to educate and inform local businesses on new legislation and issues. The next event will be on Holiday Leave and Pay and will be taking place on Wednesday 10th December at its Bury office.
The recent ruling that non-guaranteed overtime should be included in holiday pay calculations will have a big impact on businesses, with companies facing back payments as well as increased cost going forward or even a complete overhaul of working patterns. In this session, Amy Ross-Sercombe – a specialist employment lawyer – will update attendees on the latest case law on annual leave and will discuss the ways in which they can plan for the future so that holidays needn’t be a headache. In some cases bonuses, commission and taxable allowances may also be a part of holiday pay.
Amy will also answer some of the most commonly asked questions, including: Does this affect your business? What if your employee is sick whilst on holiday? Are you prepared for the new regime and difficult questions from employees?
Date: Wednesday 10th December 2014
Cost: Free Time: 7.30am to 9.00am
Venue: Clough & Willis Solicitors, 2 Manchester Road, Bury, BL9 0DT
