Ilkeston Based WFP Fabrications Expands Workforce To Celebrate Seven-Year Anniversary

Ilkeston based, WFP Fabrications is expanding its workforce to celebrate the company’s seven-year anniversary by adding two members of staff and investing in another weld bay.

The skip manufacturer has increased its personnel with the introduction of a welder, Tim Bailey and a cutter, Liam Sims.

Managing Director at WFP Fabrications, Matthew Holmes, said: “It has been an amazing seven years for us at WFP Fabrications and we are delighted to welcome Tim and Liam to the team.”

WFP Fabrications have been at the forefront of the waste removal industry for many years, producing waste containers and skips for a wide range of very satisfied customers, including councils, construction companies, scrap metal and waste management companies.

Mr Holmes, added: “It has been a very successful twelve months and we are expecting our turnover to increase by 30% to break our £1 million target next year. The waste game is a good overall indicator of the overall state of the economy as the more waste that is being produced, demonstrates that consumers are spending more on products such as food, clothing and technology. This increase in spending, has seen a rise in packaging waste and the knock on effect is more skip production and hire is needed.”

Extra demand in the past twelve months has meant that WFP Fabrications has also invested in a further weld bay to cope with extra business. As the economy continues to grow it appears that business will only get better for WFP Fabrications.

Mr Holmes, agrees: We have seen an increase in business in the last few months and with the economy growing, more business looks set to continue into 2015.“
