Poulton Primary, a £2.3 million housing development on Rostherne Avenue in Wallasey in Merseyside has been completed.
Local residents have now moved into the 33 new homes owned and managed by Your Housing Group, one of the UK’s largest housing associations.
Built on the site of the former Poulton primary school, all the houses are available for affordable rent.
The development consists of 14 two-bedroom and 4 three-bedroom family houses, 3 two- bedroom bungalows and 12 one and two bedroom apartments.
Built by Wigan-based MCI developments and designed by Halsall Lloyd architects, the scheme was part-funded by a £450,000 grant from the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA).
Head of programme delivery at Your Housing Group, Lorraine Donnelly, said: “All the residents who have moved into these 33 new homes are from the local area.
“This development provides a variety of accommodation to suit a range of housing needs.
“At Your Housing Group we are committed to creating new housing developments that benefit the community, and ensure that people who are already a part of that community can afford to live there.
“Poulton Primary is part of Your Housing Group’s £150 million affordable homes programme which will deliver nearly 1,400 new homes across the region by next Spring.”
