Birkenhead Park Group revenue up to £58.5 million
Birkenhead-based Park Group has reported that revenue for the half year to 30th September hit £58.5 million.
This is compared to £48.3 million for the same period last year.
Park Group’s business offers multi-retailer gift vouchers and prepaid gift cards.
Its pre-tax profit loss was £2.4 million compared to a profit loss of £2.7 million for the same period last year.
The group report that this is due to the seasonal nature of the business with the first half of the year always running at a profit loss.
The board reports confidence for delivering full year results in line with market expectations, based on the ongoing economic recovery and their solid forward order book.
Chief executive officer, Chris Houghton, commented: “Park has delivered an excellent set of results for the first half of the year.
“Improvement in consumer confidence continues to have a positive impact on our businesses, assisted by our ongoing investment in information technology platforms, new product developments and our focus on building partnerships with an increasing number of retailers.
“The strength in our order books underpins our positive outlook for the future.”
