North West businesses to benefit from free Leadership and Management training programme

Manchester businesses are to benefit from a free Inspirational Leadership and Management development programme delivered by leading training provider Total Excellence Centre.

The European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) fully-funded programme is aimed at businesses with proven growth potential whose senior managers, executives and owners would benefit from developing leadership skills in order to stimulate growth and safeguard jobs or create new job opportunities within their business.

The three-day course, which is valued in excess of £1500, is open to eligible businesses operating within Bolton, Bury, City of Manchester, Oldham, Rochdale, City of Salford, Tameside, Trafford or Wigan. Participants will benefit from a range of development modules with the overall aim of gaining a better understanding of the key skills required to drive, engage and grow a business.

Michelle Mercer, Director at Total Excellence Centre said: “We’ve already seen a number of North West businesses benefit tremendously from our learning and development training programmes, so it’s fantastic news that even more can now take advantage of this inspiring leadership programme and help realise their growth potential as we move towards 2015.”

Michelle added: “The modules in this programme are extremely effective and will draw out the key leadership skills from each individual enabling them to drive success and growth within their business and we’re delighted to be in a position to help open up these opportunities for eligible companies in the region.”

Places for the course are strictly limited and interested companies are advised to apply as soon as possible to secure their place for the course, which is running on the 17th and 18th December 2014, with the final module to be completed on 16th January 2015.

To be eligible for the programme, businesses must meet ERDF criteria. Businesses must:

• Employ less than 250 employees • Be based in Greater Manchester • Have a turnover less than €50m or a balance sheet less than €43m • Be within the eligible sectors • Have less than €200,000 State Aid received in a rolling 3 year period • Be less than 25% externally owned
