Hilary Devey leads the search for Local SuperAchievers

Hilary Devey is this year leading the march to encourage individuals and businesses in Kent to stand up and be counted, and celebrate their achievements in the workplace.

Hilary and the team are on the hunt for:-

· Working Mum of the Year

· Young Achiever of the Year

· PA of the Year

· Business Newcomer of the Year

· Student of the Year (Nominated solely by Pitman Training Centres)

Nominations are now open and entries can be submitted for free via www.pitmansuperachievers.com

Hilary said: “As a strong believer in everybody’s ability to achieve their goals, I am delighted to be part of the judging panel for the Pitman Training SuperAchievers Awards 2015. Super Achievement is all about hard work, focus and dedication. Perseverance and an entrepreneurial spirit are key to getting through testing times, as well as believing whole-heartedly in yourself and your ability to realise your dreams.

“Having overcome many obstacles in my own life, I understand the importance of acknowledging achievement and reflecting upon personal and professional progress. These awards celebrate the determination of all kinds of fantastic people who work tirelessly to reach their goals, support their families and communities, and grow the economy. Not only that – their efforts encourage and inspire others to strive for more – achievement is a powerful cycle, and one which I am always very proud to support.”

With their credentials ranging from being a former Dragon in the Den providing support and investment for budding entrepreneurs; encouraging and inspiring academic success; and being recognised as one of the Top 20 Young people in the world, the high profile panel know exactly what they’re looking for as they start to hunt for the most inspiring people working within businesses in the region this month, as part of Pitman Training’s SuperAchievers awards.

Supporting Pitman Training centre’s search for ‘SuperAchievers’, judges include:-

- Hilary Devey (Businesswoman, television personality and entrepreneur as seen on Dragon’s Den and the Intern)

- Jonny Mitchell (Headteacher of Thornhill Community Academy, as seen on the BAFTA award winning documentary Educating Yorkshire)

- Jamie Dunn (Entrepreneur, Speaker and Author, recognised as one of the Top 20 Young People in the World)

- Lucy Brazier (CEO of Marcham Publishing, and International Speaker and Conference Chairperson)

Dalya Bernstein (EA to CEO and winner of SuperAchievers PA of the Year 2014).

Applications are now being gathered, then the pubic will then vote for their favourite shortlisted nominees online from 12th January. This allows family, friends, locals and the general public the opportunity to support and vote for their favourites or anyone shortlisted from their region whose story they feel most inspires them. The shortlisted entrants with the most votes from each category, will then be passed to the celebrity judging panel, who will have difficult task of deciding the winners, who will be announced at the end of February.

Centre Manager at the Maidstone Pitman Training, Jill Kemp said: “We’ve got a truly fantastic panel of successful individuals supporting these awards and they are excited about finding talent from across the UK. We want to discover and recognise the unrewarded hard workers that are helping to keep British businesses thriving and are passionate to illustrate that many of these are at work in the area.”

“We work really closely with our students to help them reach goals, rather than just providing them with training, as the end result is always our focus. We’ve seen many lives transformed after people have a renewed energy, after topping up their skills and this is really inspiring. What we’re looking to do is now share these stories to help inspire others.”

Amongst the winners of the previous SuperAchievers Awards was Dalya Bernstein, who said she originally entered the SuperAchievers PA of the Year Award as she felt she had achieved so much throughout her career. Now returning as one of the judges for this year’s awards, Dalya said: “I am so happy to have been asked to be a judge for this year’s Super Achievers Awards, it is such an honour, and I wish all who enter the very best of luck. When I found out I was shortlisted for the Awards I was ecstatic, I couldn’t believe it. When I actually won I was elated and I couldn’t believe it considering who I was up against. If you’re thinking about entering the awards, I would definitely say go for it. You’ve got absolutely nothing to lose, you don’t have to tell anybody you’re entering, just enter and see what happens.”
