Blackburn and Burnley based chartered accountancy PM+M set to double in size
Blackburn and Burnley based chartered accountancy PM+M are aiming to double their turnover by 2017.
PM+M hopes to report a projected turnover of £4.25 million this year and employ just over 70 people.
The accountancy, business advisory and wealth management group is two years into the plan to double turnover and they report that one initial challenge is finding suitable acquisitions to help achieve this.
Funding comes from a combination of investment from partners and bank loans when the funds are needed for acquisition projects.
Formed in 1919 the company has worked with a wide range of clients and they pride themselves in their team management.
Managing partner at PM+M, Stephen Anderson said, “ We engage the whole team: our aim is to make sure that everyone in the PM+M team understands where we are going and what we are aiming to achieve.
“We each need to understand our part in that so that we can be sure that we play to our individual strengths and can understand what difference our contribution makes”
He said that the biggest challenge they face is, “ Making sure that we continue to change and adapt to meet the changing needs of our marketplace.
“SME businesses expect more than just technical competence from their advisors and we need to make sure that our target market appreciates what we offer and how it better suits their needs and expectations when compared to alternative suppliers.
“It’s all about relationships and managing expectations and ensuring that we are consistent in offering something that is exceptional in a number of small but significant ways.”
