Newcastle auction house iam-sold announce expansion plans after £45 million sales

Newcastle based auction house iam-sold has announced significant expansion plans after selling 500 properties in the last quarter, totalling £45 million.

Already employing 60 people from its Kingston Park office, the company is launching a number of new initiatives and developments for early 2015 including expansion into Scotland, and further growth in the North West.

Started five years ago by Northumbria University graduates Jamie Cooke and Ben Ridgway, the company specialises in property auctions both online and at physical auctions.

In that time the company has sold over 5200 properties resulting in excess of £440 million capital value being realised over that time.

Jamie Cooke, sales director for iam-sold said: “We are very excited about the expansion of iam-sold – we have a fantastic team here and it is always great to build on our successes by providing extra jobs in the region and beyond.”

The firm also won the Sunday Times Estate Agency of the Year Awards on Friday, he added: “We are delighted to have won the Supplier of the Year Award as it shows that we are offering a service to our partners and to the public that works for everyone involved.

“The first class support that the iam-sold team offers coupled with the transparent service has enabled us to achieve the growth we have attained.”

With planning already in place for next year, iam-sold has 71 auctions across 10 venues confirmed for 2015, with a further 3 events planned and a roll out in Scotland to add to that total.

Pygott & Crone, an iam-sold partner, won Estate Agent of the Year at the same prestigious event which is attended by the who’s who of the property industry. They also picked up a clean sweep at the Relocation Agent Network awards in November.
