Darlington’s Magnet Ltd expands to Yarm Road Interchange Business Park

Magnet Ltd has expanded into the 12,000 sq ft building on Darlington’s Yarm Road Interchange Business Park.

The Darlington-headquartered company has pre-let Unit 6 on the site, and joins Screwfix and Yesss Electrical as part of phase one of the development, leaving just two other buildings available at the thriving trade park.

Sanderson Weatherall also brokered the deals for Screwfix and Yesss Electrical, last year.

Yarm Road Interchange Business Park is a 20 acre mixed use development, which is adjacent to Darlington Business Park and is within two miles of the town centre.

There has been strong interest in Yarm Road Interchange Business Park and the opening of Magnet is expected to trigger deals for the final two existing buildings in an area of Darlington, which has seen a lot of change in recent years and become one of the town’s economic hubs.

North East chartered surveyors and property consultant, Sanderson Weatherall, has helped celebrate the opening of a national kitchen retailer’s new outlet on a growing business park.

Sanderson Weatherall is marketing the development with joint agent Catterall and Co.

Head of Group Property and Store Development for Magnet Ltd Andy Cartlidge, said: “We are delighted to have moved from John Street into this prominent purpose built facility, which has a contemporary kitchen showroom, trade counter and warehouse and is a flagship store for us in the North East.”
