Day nine: FedEx festive top tips for small businesses
Christmas is coming and at FedEx we want to help your business be fully prepared this festive season. As a result, please find today’s top tip below:
#9 Seal it tight
Your couriers will deliver whatever the weather. While every care will be taken to protect your parcel, you must remember that the entire journey will not be inside. The last few feet from the vehicle to your customer’s front door also needs to be considered when closing up parcels. It’s crucial therefore to ensure the box is sealed tight to keep out any rain, sleet or snow.
Seal all the flaps and seams using proper packing tape, but not duct tape or masking tape as these make parcels more difficult to open. For extra security, remember to make the shape of an “H” when taping seams to best protect your parcel.
