Manchester-based Pixel8 appointed by Metronet (UK)

Manchester-based Pixel8 has been appointed by Metronet (UK) to increase brand awareness of the super-fast internet service provider.

Metronet (UK), which is based at Manchester Science Park, specialises in delivering high-speed broadband services to businesses across the UK through wireless and fibre connections.

Earlier this year, the company underwent a £45 million private equity-backed management buyout.

Pixel8 won a competitive pitch for an integrated campaign which has initially gone live in Leeds.

Pixel8 was founded in 1999 by former Manchester United designer Nigel Daws, who was joined six years ago by Jamie Watson.

The company specialises in providing branding, integrated marketing and brand protection software services to clients in a range of sectors.

Clients include InterContinental Hotels Group and Trafford Housing Trust.

Pixel8 founder Nigel Daws, who is leading the agency’s creative team on the contract, said: “Metronet (UK) is well-recognised in Manchester and has plans for national expansion.
