Cassons: THE MOVIE

A firm of accountants is aiming to become an internet sensation by starring in their very own blockbuster movie trailer.

Staff at Cassons are hoping their trailer for “Cassons: THE MOVIE” will be an internet hit on a par with their tongue-in-cheek take on Bonnie Tyler’s ‘Holding Out For A Hero’, which saw them achieve ten thousand hits worldwide last Christmas.

The video, starring partners and staff from every department of the firm, took three days to film and features local actor Steve Garry as ‘Harry Crosby’, a client desperate to secure Cassons’ help to clinch a major US business deal.

Les Nutter, Managing Partner at Cassons said: “We’ve made videos at Christmas for the last few years, and last year’s was a phenomenal success, with people viewing it around the world, from Oswaldtwistle to Australia.

“It’s our Christmas gift to our clients and friends, and we hope it raises a smile.

“People tend to think of accountants as being a bit staid and dull, but at Cassons nothing could be further from the truth.

“Last year’s video is a hard act to follow, and we wanted to try something different. ‘Cassons: THE MOVIE’ tells the story of a client who has an amazing overseas deal within his grasp, but has a seemingly impossible final deadline to achieve. There is only one place for him to go: Cassons! Will we help our client achieve his goals?

“It was great fun to make and when you watch it you can tell how much all the staff really relished their moment in the spotlight!”

The video shows Cassons’ team of accountants, business and financial advisers coming to their client’s rescue, sorting out his international requirements and finalising his accounts, management information, payroll & auto enrolment, all within a 48-hour window.

‘Harry’ and the team are shown marking their success with slo-motion high fives and celebrations at the company’s head office in Haslingden.

“We like to think we’ve got a good sense of humour and it’s fair to say we’re not averse to poking fun at ourselves,” added Les.

The video was created by Shooters Media who are based in Bacup, and features a track called ‘Fishing In The Deep’ by Haslingden musician Nick Breakspear and his band Breakspear Inc.
