Blaydon letting race
Blaydon letting race
In a spate of recent lettings Knight Frank has let three units at UK Land Estates’ Blaydon Trade Park to Your Home Improvements (NE), CR Services and Norland Wools while UKLE completed a letting to Pringle Contracts.
Mark Proudlock, partner, industrial agency, Knight Frank says “this has been a remarkable demonstration of improving sentiment in the sector. Trade Parks are a vital part of the industrial sector and vitality here is a positive sign that industrial property is increasingly in ‘good heart’ “.
Also in Blaydon, UK Land Estates has let the 4,572 sq ft unit 1 at Dutton Court, Chainbridge Road, to Contract Fencing and joint agents, DTZ, confirm strong interest in Unit 2 (6,041 sq ft). Dutton Court’s prominence on Chainbridge Road has helped it attract retailers HSL and Beds 4U as well as Inline Fitness Centre. First floor studio office space, formerly occupied by The Ceramic Experience, is available and has the benefit of a D2 assembly and leisure planning consent.
“The level of current activity suggests supply issues in the immediate future,” comments David Gibbs, lettings surveyor at UK Land Estates.“This is not only limited to sites such Blaydon but across the region. If businesses require additional space and are looking for existing stock, now is the time to act.” Ends
