North East international business planning second Chinese sales mission

A second sales mission is being planned by Fast Track China (UK) Ltd, helping more businesses from the UK and Europe to take their first steps into exporting products and services to the “Middle Kingdom”.

Established in North East England in 2014, Fast Track China led its first mission in October, helping 15 businesses from the UK and Europe promote their products in Zhengzhou, in the heart of China.

Fast Track China’s second outbound mission is scheduled around a ‘Meet the Buyer’ event on May 23rd, 2015, and there is availability for companies not already working with the business to be represented. An inbound mission, bringing Chinese businesses to the UK, is planned for June 2015.

As well as having a UK-based team at Prestwick Business Park, near Newcastle International Airport, led by UK export professionals and Chinese nationals, Fast Track has a team located in Zhengzhou. Both work directly with clients to promote and develop their interests in China.

In 2014, Fast Track China launched a purpose-built Exhibition and Trading Showroom, in Zhengzhou, supported by the Provincial Government. More centres are being planned for 2015 in other locations across China.

Among the services Fast Track China offers is prime positioning in the Showroom, as well as arranging special events to highlight products and services from the UK and Europe. The China team arrange meetings with selected buyers for products in the China market.

Chief Executive of Fast Track China, Richard Sice, said: “The business relationships and contacts made during our first trade mission to China are starting to prove fruitful for the businesses involved and we are looking forward to our second outbound visit in May.

“This is an exciting opportunity for businesses to be supported to take their first steps into the Chinese market, with more than 600 million people and a growing band of high worth individuals.

“Within China, ‘Brand UK’ is hugely popular and it is a nation waiting to see and buy British goods and services. There has never been a better time to look east for exporting success.

“Additionally, as well as organising and leading missions such as this, we can work with businesses to help navigate such issues and concerns as intellectual property protection and market potential. Our team has vast experience working between the UK and China.”
