Major export accolade for Principle Healthcare at Medilink Awards

Vitamin, minerals and supplements producer, Principle Healthcare, has won the UKTI Export Achievement Award at the Medilink Yorkshire and Humber Awards 2014.

The Medilink Awards, held in partnership with Yorkshire and Humber Academic Health Science Network (AHSN), celebrate the achievements of healthcare technology and related life sciences companies throughout Yorkshire and Humber.

The UKTI Export Achievement Award is presented to a company for outstanding performance in international trade.

Principle Healthcare, Skipton, was presented with the award in front of more than 150 delegates from the sector at a ceremonial dinner at Sheffield City Hall as part of the inaugural Medilink Winter Ball.

Principle Healthcare international brand controller, Victoria Boldison, says: “It’s absolutely fantastic to receive this award - we didn’t expect to win at all!

“This award win is all about the team which has been doing an outstanding job over the last 12 months. We’re looking forward to even more success in 2015 when we’ll continue to innovate and keep growing.”

Principle Healthcare will now be put forward for consideration at the Medilink UK Awards. If successful, the company will compete with other organisations from across the UK for the national title. The Medilink UK Awards are on 29 April 2015 at the Med Tech Innovation Expo, at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry.

Managing Director of Medilink Yorkshire & Humber, Kevin Kiely, said: “Our region has for many years been recognised for its achievements in the healthcare technologies sector and the quality of this year’s award winners and nominees reinforces our credentials as a leader in healthcare innovation.

“I look forward to Yorkshire and Humber being well represented at the Medilink UK awards in April when I’m sure our companies will do us proud.”
