Sky to create 84 new jobs in Newcastle City Centre
Sky is creating more than 84 new jobs at its contact centre in Newcastle’s Gallowgate.
The sales team is recruiting for one sales manager, three customer experience team leaders, and 80 sales advisors to join the workforce.
Located in the Gallowgate area of Newcastle, near to St James’ Park, the contact centre has a subsidised canteen, pool tables, games areas, and a chillout zone.
New recruits will receive a range of corporate benefits including free Sky TV, access to the company pension scheme and free private healthcare.
The recruitment campaign is already in progress, and Sky aims to have filled all of the positions by the end of March.
Previous contact centre experience is not essential as full training will be provided, with both full and part-time roles available.
Sky’s head of sales operations, Michael Ryan, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity to get involved with a highly successful company at a very exciting time.
“It’s natural for people to be considering taking on a new job at the start of a year, so we’re anticipating a lot of interest in the roles.
“It’s vital that the new employees have a passion for the Sky brand and a dedication to providing fantastic customer service.
“As well as the corporate incentive package, benefits include working in an exciting and dynamic office environment, and being a core member of a strong team which gets great results.
“The jobs boost demonstrates that we are investing in people and growing our UK workforce for the future.
“Our staff are the cornerstone of the company and the new sales recruits will help us to continue to provide a service that meets the needs of each and every one of our customers.”
