Doncaster rail engineering firm on track for growth as it expands premises
Doncaster rail vehicle engineering consultancy firm T&RS Engineering has relocated into larger premises after winning new contracts and taking on additional staff.
T&RS Engineering moved into a new 700 sq ft office at Gresley House on Ten Pound Walk from its former base at Woodfield Business Centre to give it the space it needs for further expansion throughout 2015.
Established in 1999, the company provides engineering consultancy service to the rail industry, and counts Grand Central, Scot Rail, Bombardier, Alstom and First Hull Trains among its current clients.
Director Richard Poulton said: “Doncaster was, and still is, an important engineering and maintenance hub for the rail industry so the decision to remain local was an obvious one.
“We wanted to remain in Doncaster and close to the excellent railway and motorway transport links to our clients, who are located around the country, but we needed more space, a more professional set up and better facilities to cater for our growing needs.
Managed by Sheffield-based Omnia Property Group, Gresley House offers a mix of flexible leasehold, serviced and virtual offices catering for businesses of all sizes, from one man bands right through to larger firms and call centres. It also provides meeting and conference facilities for tenants and non-tenants.
Jackie Plumb, regional manager at Omnia Property Group, said: “Like many of our tenants at Gresley House, T&RS Engineering needed more space, wanted to remain close to the centre of Doncaster and its excellent transport network without paying over the odds for a city centre location.
“Gresley House has proven to be the perfect location and as well as giving the company the space it needs now, it also has room to grow over the coming months.”
