North East firm leading the way in 3D/4D interactive systems

A North East firm has set its sights on ‘edutaining’ the world with the help of UK Trade & Investment (UKTI).

Amazing Interactives Ltd, of Stockton on Tees, specialises in the development of 3D software and hardware products for the education, entertainment and medical sectors as well as shopping centres and the real estate sector.

The company has focused on the development of unique 3D/4D systems which range from entertainment solutions used in large shopping centres in China and venues in Las Vegas to structured educational software for primary and secondary schools covering spelling, complex science subjects and maths problem solving exercises.

Also recently developing 3D content for vocational courses, like Automotive, Industrial Pipe Fitting and Electrical Installation.

With the support of UKTI’s Passport to Export and Gateway to Global Growth programmes as well as the Tradeshow Access Programme, the company has secured a host of overseas sales from as far afield as Lithuania and Greece in Europe to the UAE, Kuwait, South Africa, China and the USA.

Now the ‘edutainment’ sector, offering interactive appeal for both children and young adults, has opened up a host of new opportunities for Amazing Interactives and the company has worked closely with education specialists to produce a range of products designed around the National Curriculum.

It will be showcasing these later this month at Bett 2015 (21-24 January), at Excel London – the world’s leading learning technology event.

Owner and director of Amazing Interactives, Pravin Jethwa, said: “Amazing Interactives (AIL) has been working very closely with UK trade and Investment over many years.

“AIL recently attended the Medica Show in Dusseldorf, and with the help of UKTI which provided some financial support and arranged many face to face meetings with contacts who are now helping to provide key information about individual country’s healthcare systems.

“This information will help us fully research market viability and help us make decisions on how best to introduce our products into each country.

“This is a new market that AIL are looking at exploring, and having UKTI support has helped to get initial contacts which otherwise we would have found extremely difficult and would have taken a very long time.

“UKTI has also introduced AIL to many overseas visitors coming to the North East, and we have presented our products to Lithuania and South Africa, both of who are now clients of AIL and are now using our 3D Educational content.

“The support from UKTI has been extremely valuable and we are seeing the benefits from this hard work.”

One of UK Trade & Investment’s International Trade Advisers, Maria Dotsch, said: “We’ve been working with Amazing Interactives since 2007 to help develop its export strategy and more recently we have supported the company in establishing its new products in a string of new markets.

“The company has made inroads in many new markets, either working directly for a client or via distributors, and we’re delighted to be supporting its ongoing efforts.

“Bett 2015 will give the company an ideal opportunity to showcase what it can offer to more than 35,000 people involved in the education sector from around the globe and UKTI will also be there to provide advice and support to companies and help highlight what is GREAT about education.”
