Creative Up North launch crowdfunding campaign to open new General Store
North Shields-based Creative Up North, a workspace offering creative working space to creative businesses, has launched a crowdfunding campaign to help raise funds to open a ‘General Store’ at the Hub site.
Creative Up North supports and promotes creatives living and working in the North East through events, social media & hands on interaction.
The ‘General Store’ is the next phase in Creative Up North’s development, which is intended to be open at the Hub as well as the website.
Sourcing good quality, original supplies which are affordable for artists, designers and makers to use in their business, the shop is projected to sustain the Hub and keep it open for the long-term.
To get started, Creative Up North needs to place an initial order with the supplier, fit out a corner of the Hub and print business cards and packaging.
Contributions will allow the team to build on work done so far to get the Hub up and running, as well as creating a viable income stream to pay bills.
Creative Director, Sarah Davy, said: “In particular, we’re looking for local business sponsors to contribute to our Crowdfunding campaign.
“In return we will shout from the rooftops about you & let everyone know how much we appreciate your generosity!
“If you can help, or know anyone who might be able to, please share our news with them.”
To get involved with the campaign search for ‘The General Store Project’ on crowdfunder.co.uk.
