Regeneration project brings new life to Amersham
PLANS for a major residential and commercial development in the centre of Amersham are to be re-submitted to Chiltern District Council.
Planning experts Coda Planning have been working closely with council planners on the project, which would see a complete refurbishment and expansion of existing buildings at Chesham Road and Hill Avenue.
The project would include 17 fully refurbished apartments, 14 new build apartments and, at ground floor level, space for a retail development onto Chesham Road and a restaurant and retail unit fronting onto Hill Avenue.
The designs also include proposals for a communal outdoor residents’ amenity area
“This is a project that will bring new life and vitality to the heart of Amersham,” said Coda Planning Director Adam Murray.
“Having worked very closely with Chiltern District Council, the Amersham Action Group and the local community over the past two years we are confident that we have created a development that will revitalise this part of the town.
“As with so many of our most successful projects, we are taking an existing site and restoring and enhancing it in a way that is striking in design but also completely in sympathy with its surroundings.”
