Peter Bowden to succeed Tim Evans as head of Knight Frank Newcastle

Peter Bowden is to succeed Tim Evans as the head of Newcastle office when he retires from the office and firm at the end of March this year.

Tim Evans has been at Knight Frank for 20 years, establishing the Newcastle office in October 1994 with a team of three, which now employs over 80 people in the North East region. The office has become one of the leading commercial firms in the region, with strength and depth across all key service lines, the most recent addition being property asset management.

Peter Bowden has been appointed to succeed Tim as head of the Newcastle Office and his role will commence on April 1st 2015. Peter has been at the company for three years and leads the property asset management team.

Tim Evans commented; “I could not be more pleased that Peter Bowden, who has been instrumental to the sustained success of the office, is taking over as Head of Office in April. It has been an absolute privilege to have been part of Knight Frank and the Partnership approach truly sets us apart from our competitors. The office advises at the highest level across all service lines and the office continues to be involved in the region’s highest profile instructions. The support I have had from our team in Newcastle and the wider firm has simply been both outstanding and humbling. I look forward to being an ambassador for the firm and watching the continued success and growth, locally, nationally and internationally.”

Peter Bowden says: “Naturally I am delighted to be promoted to Office Head enabling me to lead such a talented team. Tim’s legacy is a challenge to live up to but we will continue to ensure we are regarded as the pre-eminent commercial real estate consultancy in North East England.”

John Snow, head of commercial, Knight Frank, commented; “Knight Frank have a very strong and successful regional business which includes our Newcastle office, from which we service clients throughout the North-East. In addition to offering market leading agency services, we also have a strong and significant property asset management business. Knight Frank’s success in the North-East can be attributed to Tim Evans’ leadership, having retained and recruited some of the best professionals in the industry. He has made a significant contribution, not only to our regional business but the wider Partnership. We wish him well in his retirement.”
