Jobs saved at Leeds bolt manufacturer bought out of administration
Leeds-based manufacturer Andrews Fasteners Ltd has been bought out of administration, saving all employees’ jobs.
Leeds based law firm Ford & Warren has acted for the buyer of the business of the supplier of bolts, fasteners and metal products.
Andrews Fasteners Ltd, an international manufacturer and supplier of innovative construction equipment has been in operation since 1981 and has a Malaysian subsidiary company.
The firm was put into administration on 16 January 2015.
A sale was then agreed to AFC Products Limited, a company under the control of Michael Carey, a former director of Andrews Fasteners Limited.
AFC Products Limited subsequently changed its name to Andrews Fasteners Ltd, to ensure continuity with the previous company’s business.
Michelle Mathers, leading the team advising the buyer at Ford & Warren, said “We were delighted to be involved in this acquisition, which not only saved the employees’ jobs but hopefully will also enable the business to further grow and develop.”
